Painted Desert Media founder Retha Hill was asked to create BET Interactive’s election strategy for the crucial week leading up to the 2008 presidential campaign, cover it live and provide post-election analysis.

Painted Desert Media was contracted to provide editorial and strategic guidance for this start-up portal, which provides content and community for the multiracial population in America. Blur Digital, based in Scottsdale, AZ., provides content on living in mixed race families as well as profiles of prominent bi-racial or mixed race people.

The Arizona Informant Foundation

Painted Desert Media created the Web site for the Arizona Informant Foundation, which provides funding and services to the state’s minority community in the areas of health and education. Painted Desert Media also created the prototype for the organization’s new quarterly magazine, Arizona African American Health, or, AAAH! Magazine.

The Kellogg Foundation

Painted Desert Media founder Retha Hill completed a study of Web sites devoted to racial healing for The Kellogg Foundation, which has just launched a national effort on race.

Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies

Retha Hill serves as a consultant to the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, the country’s premier African American think tank, on the creation of Center’s Media Center. The Media Institute will conduct original research on media issues of importance to the Black community.

Christian Cinema Online

Painted Desert Media created a Web site in Drupal for Christian Cinema Online, a LA-based company that creates films and television shows with a Christian theme aimed at the African American female audience. Painted Desert created the logo, did all site programming and worked with the company to integrate e-commerce into the site. Launch date April 2009
